Includes a study of atoms, molecules, chemical bonding, balancing chemical equations, stoichiometry, thermochemistry, electrolytes, the periodic table, chemical bonding, the gas laws, the kinetic molecular theory, solids, liquids, solutions, and acid-bases reactions, oxidation-reduction reactions, and precipitation reactions. Co-requisite: CHM 220L, Prerequisite: MA 130. Student cannot enroll in this course if student has credit for SC 220. Lecture 3 hours weekly.
