After surveying different ethical methods, this course introduces Christian ethics as an activity of integrating faith, learning, and living in a post-Christian context. Using Scripture as a foundation, this course focuses on a Christ-centered approach to character development and moral decision-making. The maintenance of integrity in the moral process is emphasized as attention is given variously to issues related to valuing our neighbor, life (i.e. abortion, euthanasia, capital punishment, war), sexuality, marriage, the environment, and the rights of others. Prerequisite: BI 140, BI 141 or ECF212.
