Approved internship in a field of the student’s specialty. This guided learning opportunity is a cumulating experience in which the student applies the principles and skills learned, demonstrating competency under the guidance of a specialist in the field. The student must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or better and apply in the spring semester before the internship.  A part of the application process will usually include an agency background check in advance of beginning the internship, and at times include an interview with the agency supervisor.
