This course is the introduction to the American economic system and economic analysis with an overall picture of the operation of the economy. Included are the basic economic theories of supply and demand, production possibilities, performance measures, circular flow of income, inflation and unemployment, the roles of fiscal policy and monetary policy, and economic growth. Prerequisite: MA 130/124I or a higher math with a grade of 'C-' or higher or permission of the instructor
